Cheap digital camera and their benefit

In 1999 Mark Davies produced his "Blood on the Cross" documentary about the 1996 Geselema massacre when the International Red Cross director from Jakarta cooperated with Indonesia Special military forces to slaughter the people of the township of Geselema in West Papua.

How did he get his video footage of OPM side of this saga ?

He gave his one video camera to a Papuan boy from the region, and months later he received in the post a video tape with all the footage, testimony, and investigation leads from the OPM leaders he needed to complete the story.

Today a broadcaster could easily afford to buy a dozen small digital cameras which record photographs and video to memory chips and cost only $100-$200 retail each. A group travelling through Papua could accidently lose a dozen such cameras and fifty or sixty memory chips in Jayapura and the highlands.
With any luck, it could be the source of exciting media reports for years to come; and help open the nation of West Papua to the world.

example low cost simple digital camera:
 : Shiro DX331 retails in Australia at $120. 86x55x25mm and uses standard SD memory up to 1Gb in memory size.
There are dozens of such cheap cameras.

What has happen to Anthonius Wamang and the eleven other wittnesses transported from Papua to Java in violation of the Indonesian 'Special Autonomy' Law ?
What has happen to the Elsham statements that they had Indonesian documents proving Anthonius Wamang had been flown to & from a Jakarta hotel months before the 2002 ambush at TNI expense ?
Why did FBI Agents Paul Myers and Ron Eiowan invite the Papuans to the Amole Dua hotel promising that they would be flown out to stand trail in a US court ?
And why did the FBI Agents instead transfer 12 men in their custody to a US funded Indonesian police unit without any legal request from Indonesia for the men ?
Why has all evidence of TNI in planning the ambush been ignored ?
And who other than the members of the US Indonesia Society of companies profit from these FBI actions ?

The UN must return West Papua to list of non self-governing territories requiring self-determination plebiscite

21/April/2006
Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Senator Bob Brown (Aust.), Keith Locke MP (NZ) have written to add their full support to a letter already endorsed by US Congressman Faleomavaega, Bishop Hilton Deakin, Hon. Dr. Meredith Burgmann, Prof. Michael Byers, Prof Noam Chomsky petitioning for advisory opinions from the International Court of Justice about arrant and illegal irregularities in the administration and annexation of West Papua.

Five major violations of international law, the UN Charter and General Assembly resolutions have been identified :
1) that Indonesia has yet to comply with the UN Charter, article 73, by allowing self-determination for West New Guinea in compliance with UN GA resolution 1541 ;
2) that the 'New York Agreement' to transfer the administration of West Papua to Indonesia without the West Papuan people's consent violates international law and the United Nations Charter ;
3) that the Agreement violates UN Resolution 1514 by delaying transfer of administration in accordance with the people's will, and violates contract law as it was written for a purpose other than its stated primary function;
4) that the 'Act of Free Choice' was invalid in light of multiple violations of the terms of the 'New York Agreement', the United Nations Charter and UN GA Resolution 1541 ;
and that apart from historical issues
5) West Papua qualifies as a non-governing territory as defined by UN GA Resolution 1541.

Joe Collins from AWPA Sydney said
"It is internationally accepted that the 1969 'act of free choice' was flawed and not a true act of self-determination. A Dutch government commissioned report by Pieter Drooglever concluded, as have others, that the ?act of free choice? was a sham. Its time that the UN accepted responsibility and looked at its involvement not only in its handling of the act of free choice but also at the New York agreement."

The death of UN Sec. Gen. Dag Hammarskjold in Sept 1961 removed his protection for the decolonization of West New Guinea which was then removed from the UN list of colonized nations without explanation,
even though the UN had already been accepting reports on the nation's progress towards independence under article 73 of the United Nations Charter.

Given false advice in 1962, John F Kennedy believed his fight against communism required buying Indonesia's promise by forcing the Netherlands to illegally transfer West New Guinea's administration to Indonesia without the people's consent; the result, Bechtel Inc. & Freeport McMoRan got to build the world's largest & dirtyest mine; and are able to help fund GW Bush as well as being Indonesia's largest single tax payer.
