Dedicated to the memory of Arnold Ap, West Papuan musician, writer, and curator of the anthropological museum at Cenderawasih University, Jayapura. Ap was a cultural leader and an inspiration to his people. He was tortured and killed in July 1984. This is also dedicated to the many political detainees currently serving time in Indonesian prisons, and the indigenous population of West Papua who have endured thirty years of Indonesian colonisation. We hope that, beginning with the Australian government, the international community will face the truth and work to correct the great injustice that has been committed.
