Personal
If you have a average income or better, and have a sortage of time;
then you could donate money to a West Papuan volunteer representative to
fund their promotion of the West Papuan peoples wishes.
If you have time and interest, then you too can check the facts for yourself
and once you are sure of those facts take the neccesary steps to get physical
copies of that facts to the individuals who manage the organisations which
should have been responding to the occupation of West Papua for all these
years.
Organizations:
- US Congress
The majority of the Congress are good people and have supported
Section 1115
and many have signed this excellent letter in support of NGO access.
We hope the American public will support such good initiatives and those who support them.
- US Senate
Since 2001 the US Senate has been rejecting Whitehouse attempts to
ignore that the TNI apparently had fore-knowledge of the 2002 Timika attack.
With support, we hope the good people of the US Senate will also write letters
such as this.
- United Nations
The United Nations has broken many of its own resolutions when
it removed West Papua from the list of colonized nations;
when it ignored the
UN Representative Ambassador Fernando Ortiz-Sanz during the 1969 Act of No Choice;
when it involved UN Peace keeping troops in the illegal transfer of
West Papuan administration to Indonesia against the wishes of the Papuan people;
and when it agreed to the 1962 New York Agreement.
However, these actions were after the death of UN Sec. Gen. Dag Hammarskjold,
and were without doubt the result of considerable fiscal or political cohersion
to achieve a result favourable to Indonesian and mining interests.
The UN must acknowledge the genocide and other human rights abuses in West Papua,
and then must condemn the Indonesian occupation.
- Australian Government
The Australian government has been shamefull in its cowardness,
and all Lower and Upper House members must speak up for West Papuan human rights
just as Senator Natasha Stott Despoja has done.
- United Kingdom Government
Like the Australian government, the U.K. has been silent,
they should take a leason in moral conduct from the Irish Parliament
88 members of which in March 2004 wrote to the
UN demanding it review the so called 1969 'Act of Free Choice'
.
- The Netherlands government and their
United Nations Mission
- World Council of Churches
- Every organisation against Holocaust and Genocide should be speaking
up for the people of West Papua, and be calling upon the United Nations
to stop turning its back upon the human rights of West Papua.
