A title inspired by one of the news reports below. This is a cruel story of the US government helping the TNI Generals human rights abuses of West Papuan people. The TNI were effectively caught red handed killing American teachers to justify their ongoing payments by the Freeport McMoRan corporation. But the GW Bush administration is so eager to maintain business relations with the TNI Generals that it sent FBI agents to kidnap the West Papuan witnesses for the Indonesian military and its police.
The large donations by these US Indonesia Society companies to GW Bush's election campaign in 2000 could have a bearing on this relationship.
This is a collection of public information about the prosecution of the suspects in the Timika ambush of August 2002. Although there appears to have been a raft of evidence indicating TNI orchestration of the ambush and murders both before, during, and after the ambush; the Indonesian prosecution has instead focused on the TNI claim that the ambush was conducted by OPM activists.
